Invisible Man

Written to a prompt, "write a poem about being invisible"

I want to be invisible, but like a cat.
To ooze around corners, and creep on the mat.
Tail high, I sneak under your nose.
Then suddenly, I strike a pose.

I want to be invisible like a breeze,
To blow out your coat and rustle your sleeve.
To blow in your hair, make whisper wind talk,
Push red leaves past you as you go on your walk.

I want to be invisible like a neutrino.
An itty-bitty physicists tricky bambino.
Pass through you unnoticed, without effect
A million every second, no mass to reflect.

I want to be invisible but with you every minute,
A memory in time that’s frozen and infinite.
On the edge of vision, a memory of love
Please don't forget me, my ever-soaring dove.
